Hi, I will be moving to Nashville by fall to start a master program at VanderbiltUniversity.

What about south Nashville? 37211. Large lots with ranch style houses for those not wanting to have a lot of stairs. Give it a try. Southwood subdivision. Located close to I 24 and I 65 and the airport.

I’d like to echo the comments above about the level of detail this site offers. I wish every major city could have a resource as thorough and informative as this! My boyfriend and I are considering a move to Nashville but are curious about how the coronavirus restrictions have affected the city. We love dog friendly activities and venues and kids are not in the cards for us – we generally prefer young professional friendly areas but like quiet neighborhoods as well. If there are any specific recommendations that you would be willing to share we’d be much obliged!

Clare, for high-rise condos, be sure to look at 505 (45 stories) and some of the other popular buildings that are approximately 20 stories like Twelve Twelve, Icon in the Gulch, The Adelicia, and Encore. If you're willing to rent, be outside of the downtown area, and have a high-end atmosphere, consider looking at Vertis Green Hills.

My husband and I are retired and in our early 70’s. We just sold a high rise condo in Portland, OR and are thinking of moving to a high rise condo in Nashville. We will be visiting in 2 weeks. Any recommendations? We like the bar and restaurant vibe but not the honky tonk so much. For the high rise, the higher the better. Thanks.

Thank you for this wonderful resource! Thinking of retiring in Nashville and looking for condo or apt in walkable area near good restaurants, music, etc, as we do not drive. Any areas in particular that have an older population? Would also consider a retirement community that provides transportation to downtown. Thanks so much for any advice.
